The work will be broad and challenging. You will work on acquisitions and disposals of leasehold and freehold properties, asset management matters, landlord and tenant issues, portfolio sales and purchases, acquisitions for overseas investors and advising occupiers on large scale development and refurbishment of property.
You will be client facing and will act for occupier clients, property investors, developers and contractor clients. You will lead on transactions where appropriate, get involved with business development initiatives and monitor more junior members of the team.
You will have experience of the areas described above and come from a well-regarded City or regional firm. You will be UK qualified, currently be in permanent UK employment and have strong academics (minimum 2:1 from a good University and As and Bs at A-Level or equivalent).

My client, a leading City practice is seeking to bolster its high performing real estate team. The work is fulfilling and diverse and the partners that lead the team are acutely aware of all the requirements of the modern day lawyer. As such, the firm as a whole provides a supportive and learned environment for existing lawyers and new joiners.
You will deal with a wide and eclectic mix of work including landlord and tenant matters, drafting new leases for large residential led developments and on ground rent sales of large estates. As well as developers, you will also act for investment clients dealing with lease renewals, new leases, alteration requests and assignments.
You will be expected to manage more junior members of the team and get involved with business development and marketing initiatives where appropriate.
